As the song lyrics go…almost cut my hair today. Wait. I DID cut my hair today! I walked into the salon without expectations. If my hair was at least 8″ I could donate my tresses to a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients. If my locks were shy of the required 8″ length, then I would just get a trim. A quick measurement and a few solid snips later and I had a thick little pony tail to donate to a good cause. About 4 years ago, my friend and very talented stylist Russell on Maui cut my veeerrrrry long (yes, it really was mid-butt length) hair and styled and highlighted my newly shorn ‘do to just kissing my ears. I had a healthy braid that I donated to Locks of Love not to mention an adorably cute new look. Many cuts and trims later, at one point my hair was 2″ long, I am tickled that I am able to gift my mane again. Not sure to who, maybe Wigs for Kids this time. I’ll do a little research. My friends remark that my hair grows fast which I usually modestly and incredulously deny. OK, now I believe you guys as my last haircut was this past November. With that flower blossom behind my ear, dancing earings and my new short and sassy look, I’m ready for my fantasy carefree Summer of swimming and surfing and sewing and kayaking and reading and playing with my kitties and gardening and…Fun!
